Ray Fenner will perform at the Prince Theatre’s Soulfull Sunday series, April 18, 2010 at 3:00 pm. The performance will consist of music consistent with a lovely evening out. He will be accompanied by a band from Dover, Delaware – Ernest Green on keyboard, Dewitt Mcintre on sax, Reggie Guinn on bass and George Roach on drums. Some of the popular tunes to be performed will be Summertime, Cupid, You Send Me, Twisting the Night Away, and many others. Bob and Pam Ortiz will perform the opening act, and poetry will be read by Robert Earl Price, and Sonny Fassett.
Ray Fenner began his music career at an early age under the direction of his father, the late Fleetwood Fenner. Ray Fenner worked in the school system for many years, then dove into music full time after retiring from the Kent County Board of Education. He is married to Marie Fenner, and they have three children and three grandchildren. Ray has released one CD currently sold on the internet and in stores and is at work on another CD.
Soulfull Sunday series, held on the third Sunday of the month, is a collaboration between Kent County Arts Council and The Prince Theatre. The cabaret style performance offers the audience a chance to enjoy excellent local talent in a casual atmosphere. Light refreshments will be provided with the ticket price of $5 for children, and $6 for adults.
The May 16th Soulfull Sunday performance will feature Sylvia Frazier and friends.
