An argument in a car over whose child spilled ice cream led to the beating of a woman alongside U.S. 13 in Delaware, according to state troopers.
Officers said two women and their children were in a van drving north of Delmar, De., Tuesday night, when one child spilled ice cream and Nathsha Evans, 25, of Delmar, threatened to jump out.
The van pulled to the side of the road. The second woman tried to get Evans back in the van. Investigators reported Evans then punched the other woman and forced her head into a pool of water – holding her there until a man in another vehicle pulled over and dragged Evans off the victim.
Evans was charged with attempted second-degree murder and three counts of endangering the welfare of children.
