The Chester Valley Ministers Association (CVMA) is now accepting nominations for the annual Humanitarian Award given each year to those individuals who, following the legacy of Dr. King, “have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Kent County.”
The “Dr. Ann Hennessy Humanitarian Award” is given in memory of Dr. Ann Hennessy – a founding member of CVMA and co-chair for several years of the annual Kent County Dr. King Breakfast. Dr. Hennessy was a dedicated supporter of civil and human rights and a previous recipient of the Humanitarian Award. A long-time resident of Rock Hall, Dr. Hennessy died in 2008.
The deadline for submitting nominations is December 4, 2009. This year, the award will go to individuals rather than organizations. Past recipients of this award are not eligible for nomination. Please note: All nominations should include the following information (typed or printed clearly):
• Name, address and phone number of person being nominated
• A statement of 400 words or less listing reasons for the nomination
• Name, address and phone number of the person submitting the nomination
Completed nominations should be mailed to:
