Burglars targeted two nearby homes at Millington in daylight hours yesterday and made off with a cache of currency and handguns.
The Kent County Sheriff’s office reports unknown suspects broke into the locked home of Allan Lee Pleasanton, 42, Chesterville Bridge Rd., “and stole numerous items and U.S. currency including two handguns. The total loss is estimated to be in excess of $30,000.”
At about the same time unkown suspects entered the unlocked residence of Anthony Allen Emore, 54, also of Chesterville Bridge Rd.
“Entry was forced into a padlocked interior closet from which two loaded handguns were stolen,” the sheriff’s office said. “The property is estimated to be worth $1,000.”
Both cases remain under investigation.
