Victims of recent jewelry thefts around the region may get back some of their treasures – because of a cache of valuables uncovered during the arrests of an Elkton couple.
A break in the investigation of a series of burglaries came in July when New Jersey State Police stopped a white, 2000 Ford Explorer with temporary Delaware registration.
“A search of the vehicle identified a large quantity of jewelry . . . which has not been identified,” officers report.
Ramond Hamm and Danielle Rau, both of Elkton, Md., were charged with burglary, conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, receiving stolen property and possession of controlled dangerous substances.
Investigators believe the two suspects arrested were involved in numerous burglaries in Maryland, Delaware, eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.
Now a viewing of the stolen items is being scheduled. Burglary victims are asked to call 1-856-451-0101, or extension 0106, to set up an appointment.
