Chestertown Mayor Chris Cerino hosted Maryland Governor Larry Hogan on Friday to discuss the Chestertown Waterfront Initiative. The plan calls for significant improvements to the town’s public marina and is highly dependent on financial support from Annapolis to complete the needed work.
Standing outside The Fish Whistle, Mayor Cerino discussed the Initiative, and the Chestertown’s bid for assistance from the State’s Capital Budget.

Along with lots of other “home grown” Chestertown residents I have yet to figure out what in the world the town needed that marina for. If I’m not mistaken the previous owner wanted to expand the dock so larger boats could come in but wasn’t allowed due to the channel. Is that not going to be a problem for the town?

The Spy, the Kent County News, the Kent Guardian, even Bob Kramer’s Subtle Subversions have reported on the Chestertown marina project thoroughly, from start to now. If any local is not apprised of the details and the compelling economic need for this project, such is not the fault of the local media nor the Town of Chestertown.
