The Kent County Arts Council invites everyone to at the 5th Annual “Let Us Sing, Children,” concert at the Garfield Center for the Arts in Chestertown, Saturday, January 16.
The commemoration in honor of the birthday of Martin Luther King begins at 5 pm. Admission is free. Offerings will be donated to charities supported by the MLK Breakfast Celebration.
This annual performance will recognize the power that music and poetry played in the Civil Rights movements, and celebrate the culture that continues to work for social justice.
Participants include Rev. Anthony Brown, Sylvia Frazier, Sombarkin, the Pam Ortiz Band, God’s Wealth, Peter Heck, The Burke Family, The New Gospelites, Andre Sisco, Robert Earl Price, Praise Dancers and The Pilgrim Travelers.
Production committee members are from the Chester Valley Ministers Association Breakfast Celebration, the Kent County Arts Council, and the Garfield Center for the Arts at the Prince Theatre.
