It is nearly time for the annual Relay for Life in Kent County, Maryland. It will be held at Kent County High School in Worton on September 12, 2015 from 3 to 10pm.
The day begins at 3pm with an opening ceremony and remarks by local survivor Bill Blake. The first lap of the Relay will be the traditional Survivor Lap followed by the Survivor Dinner beginning at around 4:30, provided by Acme of Chestertown and served by the Soroptimists of Kent and QA Counties. All survivors are invited to the free meal along with one caregiver and are asked to register by contacting Louise “Weasie” Skinner at 410-708-5301.
There will be plenty of activities for the entire family. Line Dancing with Minnie, Hula Hoops by Samantha and music by The Garfield Gang. A Quarter Auction will be held at 6pm.
The Luminaria Ceremony will begin around 8:30pm. Luminia will be available throughout the day for $10 or are available online at www.relayforlife.org/kentmd
