Josh Rendulic, Lead Pastor of Hope Fellowship in Chestertown will have some free clothing on hand. If it’s like the past few years of the Hope Fellowship clothes giveaway, he’ll have tables stacked with pants, dresses, shirts, including clothes for children.
And he’s still looking for more clothes for the August 15 event.
Over the years, the clothes giveaway has become a much-anticipated community event and one that even surprises Rendulic—given its slow start a decade ago— and he credits dedicated Fellowship members for its success.
Originally from the Pittsburg area, Rendulic has been pastor of Hope Fellowship for 15 years and seen the congregation grow into the hundreds while adding additional programs from kid’s summer camps to giving aid to indigenous tribes in Ecuador.
Pastor Josh, as he is known, along with his wife Amy, also a pastor at the Fellowship are strong believers in community networking and offer a special welcome to those afflicted by addiction, may it my the individual addict seeking recovery ,or families impacted by the tragedy of addiction.
Here, Pastor Josh discusses Hope’s recent outreach program to Ecuador, working with people in addiction recovery, and, of course, the clothing giveaway.
The clothes giveaway takes place in front of Hope Fellowship, across from Redner’s and the movie theatre at 892 Washington Avenue. Call 410-778-3877.

Applause should go to this church for the outreach that they do in the community. They were (and probably still are – I just don’t work there anymore) a wonderful source of support and ministry to the patients that come through the Whitsitt Center. Many of them continue to attend the church after they have completed treatment. Hats off to a loving community church.

I have been a part of Hope Fellowship, formerly Trinity Assembly of God, for 26 years and I find it is the most relevant church I have ever attended. I am proud of our three pastors, Will Albright discipleship, Arin Nicholson, Youth and of course Lead Pastor Josh Rendulic, with whom we have all come to love along with their wives. It is a vibrant church, helping the community in so many ways and sticking to the Word of God in their teaching. A scripture in the Bible says People will know we are Christians by our love. I think we show that as we walk the walk in addition to talking the talk.

Thank you Mr. Dissette for all that you do in the name of recovery. This was a wonderful interview with Pastor Josh , it was easy to see the heart of the man and the heart of the HOPE FELLOWSHIP family.

My wife and I came to Hope after we moved here. we were going through a very difficult time in our lives unrelated to addiction. As the name implies we were seeking hope. The message we received each week seemed to be directed at our struggles and the situation we were facing. The First thing you will notice about Pastor Josh he is a die hard Pittsburg Steelers fan, as troubling as that may sound he has worn a Ravens Jersey. We found Pastor Josh to a very comical man, nonjudgmental and very caring about the plight of his fellow man with a message of hope, forgiveness and love. There are many groups you can attend that are based on many struggles you may be facing. We took a forgiveness class and found it extremely helpful. We have 4 children and found that there children’s programs are engaging and fun for the children. Hope has a nursery for infants and toddlers. Every worker has a background check relating to children.
This is what I find is lost in America, a sense of community and what our country was founded on. How more fitting in a city that was the corner stone of a hopeful nation in this beautiful colonial community sits a church with this same spirit that brought us to greatness as a nation under God.
