Dan Schwartz is a candidate for Congress from the First Congressional District. Before running for office, for 14 years he worked on Capitol Hill on state banking regulations, coordinating with state and federal regulators to protect consumers from financial misconduct and abuse. In this capacity, he has held financial institutions accountable and put money back in the hands of consumers.
All Americans are aware of the cost increases in every aspect of their lives. Everyday purchases become problematic for households. Ever increasing tariffs are nothing but sales taxes being borne by the entire population. Dan Schwartz believes that the money that is earned by American taxpayers belongs in the pockets of taxpayers. The rising cost of health care has put many Americans at risk. Cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care programs, and SNAP must be repealed.
Mr. Schwartz recognizes that current health care benefits need to be protected and improved. He wants to add public plans to drive competition and by doing so, offer consumers more options. With his 14-year background in consumer protection, Dan Schwartz is well-positioned to sponsor legislation to protect us all. We need change.
Sincerely,
David Durfee

Such a positive letter about “AWOL Andy,” Schwartz’s opponent, is impossible.
Despite Rep. Harris’s nine terms in Congress, there is little, if anything, to report about him.
And why? Because he mostly votes, “NO!”
Totally agree, he’s got my vote.
David is totally correct! We need Dan Schwartz. Let’s turn out the vote!
