The League of Women Voters of Kent County announces its calendar of candidate forums for the contested races in the upcoming November 3rd General Election. At each forum the candidates introduce themselves and answer questions that they have received in advance from the League of Women Voters. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions, and the forum will conclude with a closing statement from each candidate. During the District 1 Congressional forum questions from the audience will be submitted in writing. The forums are free and open to the public, and no registration is required. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
October 13: 6:00 p.m. Maryland Congressional District 1, Chesapeake Grove Intergenerational Center, 108 Chesapeake Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Andy Harris and Dan Schwartz have confirmed participation.
October 20: 6:00 p.m. State’s Attorney, Emmanuel Church 101 Cross Street, Chestertown. Candidates Matt Crouch and Bryan DiGregory will participate.
October 21: 6:00 p.m. Kent County Commissioner, Emmanuel Church 101 North Cross Street, Chestertown. Candidates Thad Bench, John Carroll, Ron Fithian, Albert Nickerson, John Price and Sam Shoge will participate.
