For All Seasons opened its Community Speakers Series for Suicide Prevention Month with a September 16 talk by physician and author Annie Brewster at the Ebenezer Theater in Easton. The event also included the organization’s first annual HOPE Awards for first responders.
Brewster, an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and founder of Health Story Collaborative, discussed themes from her book, “The Healing Power of Storytelling: Using Personal Narrative to Navigate Illness, Trauma, and Loss.” Her talk, “Reclaiming Our Stories, Reclaiming Ourselves,” focused on how sharing and listening to personal stories can support connection, resilience and mental well-being.
