Just in time for Chestertown’s annual Tea Party Festival, the planters at the Town Marina received a colorful makeover thanks to the efforts of Main Street Chestertown volunteers Bill and Kay MacIntosh, Ellen Hurst, and Patricia Pheiffer. Their work transformed the waterfront with fresh greenery and vibrant flowers, creating a welcoming first impression for visitors arriving by boat.

The beautification project comes as Main Street Chestertown celebrates its designation as a 2026 Accredited Main Street America program, the highest level of national recognition for downtown revitalization. “The true pulse of Main Street Chestertown is found in the individuals who dedicate their own time to making our town a more beautiful place to live, work, and visit,” said Dominique Ellis Falcon, executive director of Main Street Chestertown. “We are incredibly grateful to Bill, Kay, Ellen, and Patricia for getting their hands dirty and bringing our waterfront to life.”
