The Kent Amateur Radio Society will activate the Capt. Smith Trail in the vicinity of Rock Hall, MD for the ARRL National Parks on the Air (NPOTA) special event. Throughout 2016, Amateur Radio has been helping the National Park Service celebrate their 100th anniversary. We are joining hams from across the country in activating NPS units, promoting the National Park Service and showcasing Amateur Radio to the public.
The station will be set up at the Rock Hall Bulkhead, near the Hook Line-N-Sinker tackle shop (previously River Rock) on Tuesday, December 27th 2016. Our station will be located inside our EMCOMM trailer and will be on the air between 10AM local time (15:00Z) and 3PM (20:00Z). Anyone interested is welcome to stop in and see us!
Operation on 20 meters SSB around 14.250 +/- and 40 meter SSB around 7.230 +/-. Callsign: K3ARS
