Sculpture, metal work, pottery, fiber, woodcraft, jewelry, furniture, glass, pastel, watercolor, oils, photography, print making and more; traditional to modern –all will be represented at the exhibit opening at RiverArts on October 7, First Friday. The show offers a sampling of the work of the more than 45 artists participating in the 17th Annual Studio Tour, which runs two weekends: October 22 – 23 and October 29 – 30.

This perennially popular event allows visitors to visit a number of artist studios not generally open to the public, see work in progress and speak directly with the artists.

Artist studio information, interactive maps, suggested tour routes and downloadable brochure are all available on the RiverArts Studio Tour website, www.studiotour.chestertownriverarts.org. Print brochures are also available at RiverArts and at artist studios. Participating Studios and galleries are open 10 am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday on both weekends.

For more information, call RiverArts at 410 778 6300. Chestertown RiverArts is located at 315 High Street, Suite 106, Chestertown, MD 21620 – (in the breezeway). Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11 AM to 4 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM, Sunday 11 AM to 3 PM, and open on First Fridays until 8 PM. This event is sponsored in part by Chesapeake Bank and Trust, WYPR Radio and Delmarva Public Radio.

Chestertown RiverArts is a member-supported, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to engaging our community in the creation, appreciation, and support of the arts. We are a dynamic group of artists, art lovers, and folks who believe the arts enrich us all, both as individuals and as a community. Through programming for children and adults, exhibitions, classes, and more, we strive to excite the creative spark in everyone.
