Kathy Davis, a Chester River Hospital Center Auxiliary Board member, an in-house volunteer and a Gift Shop volunteer at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown, was recently recognized as an Everyday Hero by Maryann Ruehrmund, Executive Director of the Chester River Health Foundation and Liaison for the CRHC Auxiliary, who made a donation in her honor to Chester River Health Foundation.
Ruehrmund’s gift recognizes Davis’ efficiency and hard work as a volunteer at UM SMC at Chesterton fulfilling duties such as scheduling and rescheduling CRHC Auxiliary volunteer shifts, screening and interviewing volunteer candidates, training every new in-house volunteer and tracking all in-house volunteers’ hours.
“She approaches difficult situations with the utmost professionalism, is always thinking out of the box and shows extraordinary passion for her responsibilities,” says Ruehrmund. “We are so fortunate to have her as a part of our team.”
The Everyday Hero program provides patients, visitors and staff members with the opportunity to recognize and thank any member or team at UM Shore Regional Health, who made a positive difference in a visit or stay, by making a financial contribution of any size to UM Memorial Hospital Foundation or UM Chester River Health Foundation.
