The campaign for letters of support for the Chestertown waterfront and marina project ends later this week, and we still need another 100 or so voices to weigh in.
Put simply, if action isn’t taken soon, it won’t be long before Chestertown’s waterfront will cease to function. What could be a jewel for the region will become a hazard, an eyesore, as well as a significant financial liability for the town and its taxpayers.
To help supporters who have been too busy or distracted to get their letters written and delivered, we are hosting a Letter-Writing Happy Hour on Tuesday, 4:30 to 7 pm at JR’s Pub. Bring your laptop or smart tablet, or use the pen and paper we’ll provide. Buy a beverage and enjoy good company while you complete this important task.
Lani Seikaly, and Kay and Bill Macintosh, will be hosting the event. They will be available to help you brainstorm ideas, get those ideas on paper or the computer and add your important voice to the letters being presented in a notebook to Governor Hogan’s office.
Hope to see you there.

I am out of town. How and to whom can I send a letter as an attachment or just in an email? Is that allowed?

Prepare your letter and scan it to a pdf or Tiff file. Email it to Kay MacIntosh at the town office ([email protected]).
