Are you as sharp as Hermione with Harry Potter trivia? Didn’t get a callback from the Cursed Child directors? Good news! The Chestertown Harry Potter Festival will be holding auditions for two events at the Garfield Center for the Arts on September 8th at 6pm and 7pm!
“Stump the Hermiones” has been a popular feature of the Friday night Festival Kick-Off Party for the past several years. A team of Hermiones take the stage at the Garfield Center to field Harry Potter trivia questions from audience members, who win prizes for stumping them. We are looking for fans of all ages who have an encyclopedic knowledge of the Harry Potter books and/or movies, and are willing to dress up like Hermione (we’ll provide the wigs).
Street Theatre brings scenes from the books to life at a number of events and locations throughout the festival on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This year’s performances will include scenes adapted from “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” as well as several original short plays based on Harry’s second year at Hogwarts. We have many roles to cast for underage and fully-qualified wizards alike.
The 2016 Chestertown Harry Potter Festival is a non-profit fundraiser for the Garfield Center for the Arts and MidShore Community Foundation’s Kent County Fund. It is a weekend of magic for all Harry Potter fans that takes place on September 30th-October 2nd in downtown Chestertown, Maryland.
