90.5 WKHS in coordination with the Town Of Rock Hall has agreed to broadcast the Rock Hall Fireworks Program Soundtrack live, for the fireworks show on Sunday July 3rd. The live FM broadcast will commence at 7 pm with patriotic music and live interviews from the harbor area in Rock Hall. Residents, visitors and spectators will be able to tune into 90.5 WKHS and listen live as the fireworks are choreographed to the music. If for some reason you can’t be in Rock Hall, you can still enjoy all the fun and patriotism the music will bring by tuning into WKHS. Chris Singleton and his staff at WKHS, the Kent County High School radio station will coordinate with Mayor Brian Jones of Rock Hall to deliver a program that will set a trend for future community activities to be delivered by radio.
90.5 WKHS at Kent High School is your community public radio station, and during the summer while the students are off, WKHS is on the air evenings and weekends bringing you local personalities playing a variety of music genres guaranteed to pique your interest. You can hear the students again in the Fall when the student DJ’s are back on the air with new student programming at WKHS. When the students and community members aren’t here, WKHS simulcasts WXPN radio from the University of Pennsylvania. This arrangement helps to support WKHS from both a financial and a programming standpoint. If there is an area that is somehow missed with our local programming, WXPN is sure to fill that void.
