Whether you’re an eager spectator or one of the fearless competitors, the Chestertown Tea Party Raft Race is a gloriously off-beat adventure. If you’re curious about the behind the scenes story or want to know what it takes to enter–and win!–the race, this program will answer all your questions.
Join us for tips on the practical considerations of building handmade watercraft that will make it across the finish line, as well as discussion of how to create a floating spectacle, devise a bribe that will win over the judges, and turn a complete flop into a win. Presented by multi-award-winning raft captain Chris Neiman, this program will leave you laughing and–maybe, just maybe–inspired to build a craft of your own!
Questions welcome! Sense of humor strongly encouraged. For more information, visit kentcountylibrary.org or call 410.778.3636.
