Family and Friends Grieve Over Jacob Marberger’s Loss


As family and friends grieve over the loss of Jacob Marberger, more information has come to light about the days leading up to his disappearance.

Karen Araiza, in her article for, describes a gifted and sensitive young man, accomplished in multiple aspects of campus life—from debate, to Student Government, to theatre and politics—and whose life quickly spiraled out of control because of a series of personal setbacks occurring in October.

A celebration of Jacob Marberger’s life will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Raphael-Sacks, at 6410 N. Broad St. in Philadelphia. Interment is private.
