Alvin Bronstein, who spent most of his years championing the cause of prisoner rights, passed away at Compass Hospice in Centreville last Saturday this week at the age of 87.
Bronstein retired to Chestertown in 2011 and quickly became a fixture in town and at the Kent County Public Library. He also lectured about his work in civil rights at the Kent County Public Library which attracted a large and diverse cross-section of attendees.
