Zora has spent the winter dealing with a terrible case of the blues. This eight-year-old cat would prefer to be cuddled up, kissing someone’s face; instead, she’s cooped up in her shelter kennel, waiting for sunlight and brighter days to come. And, now that sunnier days are heading our way, she hopes a forever home is just around the corner for her too!
Zora was surrendered to The Humane Society of Kent County from a home where she lived with a lot of cats. She is fully declawed in the front and back and quite cat friendly. Unfortunately, Zora is usually napping when people come to visit which causes her to be overlooked. The second you see her and peer into Zora’s eyes, you can tell she’s not happy in the shelter.
HSKC waives the adoption fee for all senior pets, Zora included. This kitty loves to be held and will give you a little massage when you pick her up. She keeps her kennel neat and tidy and is litter-trained. Zora was checked out by a veterinarian who confirmed that she has some arthritis in her back legs and may need a special diet to keep her kidneys functioning normally.
If you would like to cure Zora’s cabin fever, stop in and meet her at HSKC soon and consider giving her the loving home she’s hoping for.
