Wendy Costa Elected to Board of Education

November 7, 2014 by Spy Desk

Share

A final tabulation of votes including absentee ballots  are in and Wendy Costa has received 2,568 votes, enough to elect her to the Board of Education.  She received enough votes during the election to override any uncounted absentee ballots.  Costa, who has had extensive experience in the education field, heads education programs at Mt. Harmon Plantation, and holds a doctorate in education, is also a contributor to the Chestertown Spy.

“It was a fantastic experience and I’m very happy to join the school board. All the campaigns were very civil and informative and I was pleased to discover so many neighborhoods and new friends throughout our county. My only regret is that Michael Harvey is not with us — his work on the board has been excellent,” she said.
