The Port of Chester Questers will hold its 15th biennial Antiques Seminar and Appraisals on Thursday, September 25, 2104 at the Unitarian Church of Chestertown, 914 Gateway Drive. Two sessions will be held for the purpose of discussing and appraising each item brought by the attendees. Doors open at 9:30 am for the first session beginning at 10:00 am, ending at noon. The second session is from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with doors opening at 1:30pm.

Appraisals are limited to two per person at $45 or $25 for one item. A maximum of thirty five appraisals can be given per session. We are pleased to announce appraisers Raab Christhilf of Alex Cooper Auctioneers and Aurelia Bolton representing Sotheby’s will be returning again this year.

Light refreshments are served. A donation will be gratefully accepted from those who just wish to enjoy the experience.

Funds raised at this event will benefit Cliffs Schoolhouse Museum, built in 1878 and served families of watermen’s and farming communities until 1939. It is located 8.5 miles south of Chestertown along Rt 289, Quaker Neck Road. Two more opportunities to visit the school before it closes for winter are on Saturday, September 25 and Saturday, October 18, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Private showings are available by calling the numbers listed below.

For reservations and session desired call Maggie Smith 410-778-2529 or Carol Cordes [email protected] or 410-778-9173 by September 23.
