September marks the beginning of another campaign year for the United Way of Kent County (UWKC). During the spring and summer months the UWKC Board met with local and regional agencies to determine how best to serve the needs of Kent County. As a result the Board has set an ambitious goal of $190,000. We need your assistance to meet this challenge to maintain the safety net for those in the greatest need, to meet the impact of floods, fires, loss of employment, illness and death, to soften the hardships of disability, and to enable creative enrichment and supplemental education for our children. We invite you to inspire hope for a better tomorrow through a generous donation to the United Way.
On behalf of all of us associated with the UWKC I send our heartfelt thanks to all of the donors whose interest and generosity make it possible for these member agencies to focus more of their energies and talents on their respective missions and less on fundraising. All donations to UWKC remain in Kent County to benefit Kent County residents exclusively.
Our $190,000 campaign goal for 2014-2015 will benefit 25 effective charitable organizations. Links to all of these agencies are on the UWKC website, www.unitedwayofkentcounty.org, and we encourage readers to explore the valuable activities and services that each provides to our citizens.
We urge our fellow Kent County residents to donate generously when the UWKC appeal arrives in the mail. You may also contribute online at our website www.unitedwayofkentcounty.org or call us at (410)778-3195.
Live United!
