During the Del-Mar-Va Council, Boy Scouts of America, business meeting held on Thursday in Dover, Kent County Commissioner William Pickrum was inducted onto the Executive June 19th Board of the Boy Scout Council. As a member of the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts, Mr. Pickrwill work to increase awareness and participation in Scouting throughout the Delmarva Peninsula.
Born in Kent County, Maryland, William attended H. H. Garnett High School in Chestertown, Maryland and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He served in U.S. Coast Guard for 22 years. William is currently
the Deputy Director of Government Support Services, Office of Management and Budget for the State of Delaware and serves as a Commissioner in Kent County Maryland. He is an adjunct Professor of Political Science, teaching courses Bureaucracy and Public Policy, and Government and Business.
He is married with two children and three grandchildren.
