On Saturday, June 7, 2014, the Eighth Annual Working Artists Forum Show will open at Heron Point, Chestertown, Maryland. This year’s exhibit will showcase the newest original work by member artists working in oil, watercolor, mixed media and more. The judge for this show, Christine O’Neill, is an award winning Rock Hall artist who teaches at both the Maryland Hall for Creative Arts and Kent Island Federation of the Arts. Christine is a Signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, a member of the Annapolis Watercolor Club, the National Watercolor Society and the River Arts of Chestertown.
The Working Artists Forum (WAF) is a non-profit organization, composed of more than 80 professional Eastern Shore artists, who meet monthly at the Academy Art Museum in Easton and show their work in a variety of venues, both separately and together. This evolving group of artists maintains its growth with new members that are juried in each September, and through monthly lectures in the arts, demonstrations and critiques.
There will be a reception and awards presentation on Saturday, June 7th from 1-3 p.m. The show will hang at Heron Point daily through Sunday, June 29th and is free and open to the public. Heron Point is located at 501 East Campus Avenue in Chestertown. For more information about The Working Artists Forum, please see www.workingartistsforum.com.
