The Imperial Hotel Changes Hands

May 21, 2014 by The Spy

Imperial Hotel Management, LLC has acquired the Imperial Hotel in Chestertown’s historic district from Out Front Partners, LLC. The new owner’s principals are Kathryn Meehan and her son, Stephen Meehan, a Kent County attorney. Mrs. Meehan will reside on the Hotel’s third floor. Mr. Meehan will move his law offices to the second floor. Out Front Partners, LLC will continue to operate The Front Room Restaurant and Bar.

“I am excited to be moving to downtown Chestertown to be part of this next stage in the Imperial Hotel’s life,” remarked Kathryn Meehan, who will oversee the company’s hotel accommodations.

“We will strive to continue the high standards for stewardship of this historic business that
General and Mrs. O’Dell have established.”

“This is a rare opportunity to be part of downtown Chestertown’s commercial renaissance,” said Meehan. “I am bullish on Kent County and continue to invest in our future.”

Congratulations to both Steve and Kathryn Meehan; what a wonderful partnership of family, living and work spaces and new local business owners. John and I and friends have so enjoyed the tenure of the O’Dells and look forward to this next chapter. Yea, Steve!
