Police Report: Drive-By Shooting on Calvert Street

May 12, 2014 by

Share

At approximately 11:55 P.M. Friday, May 9, several rounds were fired from a vehicle in the area of Calvert Street and College Avenue. Kylina Thomas, 23, a resident in the 400 block of  Calvert Street, was struck in the forehead by a bullet deflected by its passage through a screen and double-pane glass. After initial treatment at UM Shore Medical Center in Chestertown, she was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma for further review. Thomas was treated and released.

Chief Baker considers the event as extremely serious. “We will use all available resources to bring closure to this matter. I appreciate any help our citizens can bring forward.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Cliff Wilson or Lt. John Dolgos of the Chestertown Police Department, 410 778 1800.
