Chris Parker, chief nursing officer for University of Maryland Shore Regional Health has announced a number of new nursing management positions at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.
Mary Jo Keefe, MSN, BSN, RN, who joined the UMSMC at Chestertown nursing team in 2007, continues as the head of nursing at the hospital. Supporting Keefe in the new positions are:
Lisa Eisemann, BSN, RN, nursing informatics coordinator, who most recently was clinical nurse leader at UMSMC at Chestertown.
Kathy Elliott, MSN, RN, program director for MAGNET®. Elliott has been with the hospital since 1988; her most recent former positions were director of acute care services and director of surgical services.
Michael Kingan, DNP, RN, CWOCN, inpatient nurse manager. Kingan came to UMSMC at Chestertown from Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., where he was nursing director.
Jennifer Nutley, BSN, RN, FNE-A, nurse manager of the Emergency Department and SAFE coordinator. Nutley formerly served as clinical coordinator for UMSMC at Chestertown.
Peggy Roca, BSN, MBA has joined UM Shore Regional Health as manager of perioperative services at UMSMC at Chestertown. Peggy comes to UM Shore Regional Health from the Lewes Surgery Center where she was administrative and clinical director.
Michelle “Mickey” Roderick, MS, RN, CCRN, clinical specialist. Roderick began her nursing career at the hospital in 1980 and most recently served as clinical coordinator for inpatient services.
Janet Wilson, MSN, BSN, RN, has been assumed the position of NDNQI nursing quality improvement specialist at UMSMC at Chestertown. Wilson has served UM Shore Regional in several capacities, including staff nurse, chair of the Nursing Shared Leadership Council, and clinical nurse coordinator for the Emergency Department of UMSMC at Easton.
