On Saturday, March 1, Kent School’s Lower School Science teacher Pam Deringer will be offering an engaging, educational science workshop. The workshop will run from 10:00 a.m. until noon. “Gooey Science” is for boys and girls 7 to 9 years of age. The workshop is free and open to the public, although space is limited to 20 participants so advance reservations are appreciated. To reserve your child’s spot, email [email protected] or call 410-778-4100 ext. 12. Parents will not be required to stay on campus but are welcome.
In “Gooey Science” children will have a hands-on experience with polymers. They will make and play with several sorts of gooey concoctions. The concoctions will be theirs to take home. The schedule allows for ample time for participants to stretch their legs as well as their minds. A healthy snack will also be provided.
At the same time, Kent School is offering an Arts and Crafts workshop for children 6 and under. Little School teachers will lead the children in projects. They children will have several stations from which to choose. Parents are asked to stay on campus for the Arts and Crafts workshop.
