Library Offers Tech Help and Photo Show for First Friday

January 1, 2014 by Kent County Public Library

Share

Whether you need help getting to know a new-to-you technology or device or you are interested in viewing gorgeous photography, Kent County Public Library is the place for you on First Friday January 3, 2014.

From 5-7pm, bring your eReader, iPad, tablet, or laptop to KCPL’s Digital Drop-In where you can ask technology-related questions and get tips for using your device. From the very basics to downloading eBooks, let us help you start the new year feeling calm and confident using technology. If you can’t join us on First Friday, additional Digital Drop-In programs will be held Mondays of the month at 4pm.

From 5-8pm, a reception will be held to kick off the January art exhibit which showcases the work of award-winning photographers Dawn L. C. Miller and Bob Miller. Primarily nature photographers, the Millers have traveled extensively in search of beautiful and exotic subjects.

Whether photographing in Africa or at their home in Millington, their sense of wonder informs their photographs. This show represents a wide variety of their work. Join us for the opportunity to talk with the Millers, mingle with others who appreciate art, and enjoy light refreshments.

The artwork showcased at the First Friday reception will remain on display at KCPL’s Chestertown branch during the month of January.

All are welcome at these free First Friday events.

For more information about these events or to learn about becoming a featured artist at KCPL,

please call 410.778.3636 or visit the Chestertown Branch at 408 High Street, Chestertown.
