Diane Landskroener will join RiverArts in mid January as its first Executive Director. For some time the RiverArts board has felt that ther rapidly growing organization needed an executive director to continue moving forward. The 2013 business plan designated hiring an executive director RiverArts’ number one priority. A search committee chaired by Zane Carter, which included Muriel Cole, Charlie Hawkins and Mary Jo McCulloch, along with RiverArts President, Lani Seikaly, reviewed the credentials of thirty applicants. The committee unanimously agreed that Diane Landskroener combines the personal and professional attributes most vital to RiverArts continued growth as a vibrant arts organization and its expanded reach to allied organizations and potential stakeholders,
Diane has held leadership positions at Washington College for more than twenty years, including Assistant Director of Publications and Director of Creative Services. Her role required managing a wide variety of people, projects and client expectations. Working with staff, interns, and outside service providers to produce effective, on-budget communications vehicles for the college, its administration, professors, donors and alumni has provided Diane with an in-depth working knowledge of organizational dynamics. She is well versed in all forms of digital and print communications and has won numerous awards for her work.
Diane is popular and talented performer and has also volunteered countless hours as a stage manager, director and producer at the Garfield Center for the Arts. A guest lecturer and adjunct professor, Diane is an experienced and persuasive communicator with a clear understanding of grant-writing. She is well equipped to represent RiverArts among its many constituents, contributors and its institutional and governmental alliances.
Diane’s husband, Jim, is a teacher and technology coordinator at Kent School. He is also an accomplished actor, director and producer. Jim serves on the boards of the Garfield Center Foundation and Kent County’s Community Food Pantry. Their two children attended local schools and recently graduated from college.
