Included in the class will be the fundamentals of rhythms, methods of percussion notation, cultural drumming, and connection to the universal vibration through drumming. The purpose of all the classes and lessons at MusicLife are to learn more about and increase ones enjoyment of music. If you are interested, plan to attend the FREE Percussion Party at Music Life on Friday October 25th at 6pm and find out what percussion is all about.

Letters to Editor

    Editor,

I hope that at least some class members will consider using and developing their new (or brushed-up) drumming/percussion skills by joining the Eastern Shore Wind Ensemble, the community concert band directed by Keith Wharton that is collegial and supportive. We need more percussionists! We rehearse Monday evenings, 7:00-8:30 (during the school year) at Kent County Middle School. Come to our next concert (free), on Sun., Nov. 3, at 4 p.m., at Emmanuel Church in downtown Chestertown. The program has a theme of “Musical Mischief,” with pieces that have lots of choice percussion parts.
