The third annual Centreville Day will be held Saturday, November 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Centreville on Lawyers Row and the Court House green. Admission for this family day is free. Food will be sold and some games may have a fee to support local organizations.
Centreville Day will include:
A texting competition, coordinated by students and faculty at Queen Anne’s County High School.
Final judging for the “Great Centreville Cookie” contest
Announcement of winners for a scarecrow decorating contest, organized by the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council.
A historical scavenger hunt, coordinated by the Queen Anne’s County Historical Society.
Cornhole “free play”, coordinated by CASA of Queen Anne’s & Kent Counties.
A moon bounce, face painting, and other games and activities, organized by local non-profit organizations.
Volunteer, vendor & sponsorship opportunities available
The event steering committee includes a wide cross section of volunteers, including residents, teachers and administrators from Centreville schools, local non-profits serving children and families, and businesses. Additional volunteers particularly from the North Brook community, as well as parents, and businesses are needed. The event will provide vendor and tabling opportunities for civic and non-profit groups to do community outreach or fundraising as well as businesses to promote services and upcoming promotions of interest to families.
