RiverArts Seeks Executive Director

Chestertown RiverArts, a large and growing nonprofit arts organization with a spacious gallery located in the heart of scenic downtown Chestertown MD is now accepting applications for a full-time Executive Director (ED).

The Executive Director manages the daily operations of the organization with the aid of an administrative assistant, and supported by a cadre of volunteers. Responsibilities include overseeing the gallery and gift shop, its clay studio, its ongoing program of adult and youth classes, fund raising opportunities, the implementation of the annual budget and the maintenance of data bases. In addition, the ED champions efforts to achieve strategic goals outlined in the RiverArts business plan.

The position requires someone with a passion for the arts coupled with sound business acumen and computer skills. Also needed are excellent personal relations skills, proven management skills, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently.

Hours are Tuesday-Friday 11:00-4:00,First Friday 11:00-8:00, Saturday 11:30-4:00 and Sunday Noon-3:00.
