Quickly becoming a local tradition, Kent Massive has given inspiration and drive to Kent County’s youth music scene since the idea’s inception. Now in it’s third year, the fest continues its quest to bring together diverse artists and audiences on Saturday, August 31 from 3 to 10 pm at the Garfield Center for the Arts in Chestertown, MD.
Featuring local Kent County talent playing alongside rising stars from Delaware, Virginia, Philadelphia, and New York City, the festival will showcase a wide array of music, including hip-hop, bluegrass, metal, dubstep, indie, rock and pop, including: Me Equals You (DE), Latasha Alcindor (NY), Encasing Embrace (VA),Ryshon Jones (PA), Kotic Couture (MD), Chester River Runoff (MD) and more.
In just three years, Kent Massive has grown from a backyard party for local musicians, to being on the front page of the paper’s Social section, to this year, with the support of the Kent County Arts Council, being presented at the premiere cultural venue Garfield Center for the Arts.
