Anyone representing Takoma Park and Silver Spring is going to more liberal than Lefty O’Malley. Wonder why she will be speaking on the Eastern Shore. Hardly expect she would carry many counties on the Sho.
Joe Diamond says
Fletcher, Fletcher, Fletcher,
Takoma Park is the home of the Adventist Church……………their missionaries will rip that steak out of your mouth in the name of God. They are so conservative they don’t hold with that new idea of observing Sunday as the day of rest. Takoma Park is also a nuclear free zone so people can stroll the streets without fear of mushroom clouds. And part of Takoma Park was in Montgomery County ,,,,,you know how red that place is. So what is not to like?
And know that the only people who call this place the Sho are Washington College Grads who don’t play poker well enough for bus fair back to CT.
Just sayin,
Joe

I don’t think this particular stop is much about votes… Two theories:
Cynical: $ (need I say more?)
Less Cynical: Heather loves the shore. She has a house here. I have reason to believe that she spends more time on this side of the bridge than in MoCo (but don’t tell her constituents that! hah!)
Stephen Z. Meehan says
As president of the Democratic Club of Queen Anne’s County, I am proud to announce that Delegate Mizeur, a property and business owner in Kent County as well, is coming to speak about her views and interests for the future of Maryland. Bringing Maryland’s current and future leaders to speak to our club has become a tradition.
All are welcome to attend our meeting and invited to join and support our efforts. We meet on the first Thursday of the month at Fisherman’s Inn at 6:30 for refreshments and a program at 7. If you cannot make it this month, Comptroller Peter Franchot will join us in March.
DLaMotte says
Heather, would you like to be our congreewoman??!
Carla Massoni says
I will be unable to attend the meeting to learn more about this candidate – but from what I have heard so far I am impressed with Ms. Mizeur. Look at the issues facing the Eastern Shore – maybe the conservative policies are the problem – it just might be time for a different point of view
Stephen Z. Meehan says
I want to thank Dave Wheelan and Dan Menifiee for the Spy’s continued coverage of our candidate events. Heather Mizeur presented yet another exceptional candidate for Maryland Democratic voters to consider in the 2014 election for Governor. If you are interested in staying connected to Maryland’s leaders, join us at our meeting on the first Thursday of the month at Fisherman’s Inn on Kent Island at 6:30 p.m. for a social and 7:00 for the program.
At our March 7 meeting, Comptroller Peter Franchot will join us.
Stephen Meehan, President, Democratic Club of Queen Anne’s County.
