Was it Mitt’s Big Lie about Jeep moving to China, so reckless his oligarchic peers were obliged to refute it? His refusal to open his tax returns? Clint’s empty chair? That “I’m-not-familiar-with-precisely-what-I-said” comment? The Etch-A-Sketch prediction by Eric Fernstrom? His goofy expedition to England, Israel, and Poland? None of the above! Given that Obama’s deft campaign was the primary reason for Romney’s stinging defeat, Mitt’s big stumble was his politically fatal 47-percent-are-moochers howler supposedly offered off-the-record.
Americans detest a hypocrite.
Grenville B. Whitman
Rock Hall
Carla Massoni says
Okay – in the words of Obama himself – let’s move FORWARD!!
Fletcher R. Hall says
Sounds like the democratic party line throwm at the American people relenteslly during the campaign.
Millions were spent to spread this overly distorted, negative message.
The election is OVER. Get over it!
It is time foe the nation to find common ground am move forward.
Joe Diamond says
Oh yeah!
In no special order:
” I am not a crook.”
“I did not have sex with that woman.”
” Taxes are for little people.”
“Ah will not ask an American boy to do what some Vietnamese boy should be doin.”
Come on, folks, it is real fun…………………what is the one about wealth will trickle down? Or may personal fav : “We come in peace.”

Stephan Sonn says
Romney was the liar king because
his lies were so stupid,
friggin stupid savant.
Yet he might have been able to
turn the US into a Bain workshop,
feeding on itself from the inside out.
He conned and connected the he cons
And the result was lying overkill.
So Obama became
the symbol of every-man ,
the anti-hero
of this national morality play.
Who do you trust baby?
Michael Hildebrand says
The statement “America Detests Hypocrites” can not be true. We keep re-electing them, no matter whether they claim to be red or blue. Americans like their personal hypocrite, just not everyone else’s.
G.W. Piper says
Look at New Jersey, New York, Staten Island. Tell me that it is better managed than Katrina. America hates you.
Carla Massoni says
Sad.
Gren Whitman says
Yes, “G.W.,” the Sandy aftermath is being better managed, thanks to Obama, Christie, and Bloomberg.
No corpses floating in NYC’s subways or NJ’s flooded fields.
Sure, the situation’s rough, at least as rough as New Orleans, but no one’s shooting down refugees, no one’s dead in a wheelchair, no one’s forgotten, etc.
It’s louche to suggest one disaster’s worse than another…
