On Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m., the Academy Art Museum will host its biannual Portfolio Night. Several area art colleges will send representatives eager to look at student work and offer feedback. Various professional artists will also share their own personal experiences and provide pointers.
High school students interested in a career in art, their parents, and educators are encouraged to attend this event. Students should bring a portfolio. Participants will find out the secrets to building a winning portfolio for art school, as well as learn what a career in art has to offer. There are a variety of careers in art today, including art administration, architecture, art education, computer graphics, design, fashion, graphic design, illustration, industrial and business design, photography, and video and film.
Reservations for Portfolio Night are required. To register or for further information, contact Constance Del Nero at 410-822-2787 or by email at [email protected].
