Join photographer Don Dement and develop your photography collection by understanding how to easily organize, edit, retrieve, display and print selected digital image files, and much more. The two session class will be held on Saturday, May 5 and May 12 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Centre for the Arts in Centreville, MD.
The class covers the use of Adobe “Lightroom” (version 3 or 4) which is gaining growing popularity among photographers who have thousands of photos on file. The class concentrates on operation and settings for Library and Develop modules. Its powerful editing can replace Elements, working faster and better, or include any external editor. Version 4 (at 1/2 previous price) adds video editing, making photo books and geotagging.
Install Lightroom on a laptop (Windows or Mac) and follow along in class. The instructor will hold interactive discussions and work on solving problems. Students can try a trial download at www.adobe.com and read about Lightroom at www.bhphotovideo.com and search on “Lightroom 3” for detailed description, but purchase v.4.
Dement has taught digital photography and editing with high acclaim at Anne Arundel Community College, Chesapeake College, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts and at the Centre for the Arts since 2002. He is an award winning photographer and exhibits his work widely.
