Barbara Ann Wildes of Chestertown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at her home of Lung Cancer. She was 71 years old.
She was born on June 13, 1939 in Washington, DC to the late Richard Lionel and Mary Catherine (Courtney) Jamesson.
In the early 1980’s she was employed at North Arundel Hospital in Glen Burnie, MD. Barbara also operated he own medical transcription service with contract at St. Agnes Hospital and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. In 1988 she and her husband opened a Dollar Discount Store in Chestertown, MD, that they owned for eleven years. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barbara also enjoyed reading, visiting Ocean City, MD, crossword puzzles and lunches with her daughter.
She was married to Robert M. Wildes on December 14, 1957. She had four children; Kenneth M. Wildes of Centreville, MD, Todd V. Wildes of Chestertown, MD, John D. Wildes and his wife Kim of Taneytown, MD, and his daughter; Kelly Ann Compton and husband James of Hurlock, MD. She also had 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters and her brother; June Beuchart, Carol Hambleton and Richard Jamesson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam, Funeral Home Chestertown, MD where relatives and friends may call on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. For Bob and family we were so sorry to hear about Bobby even though we lost contact with each other I have many memories of her when she lived with me, she had such pretty dimples and was such a good person. I am sorry that my husband I will not be able to come to the funeral as my husand has trouble seeing at night andI don’t drive at night, but our prayers are with each of you and I hope Bob that you will keep in touch wih me.
