Palin Endorses Ehrlich Opponent

August 6, 2010 by Dave Wheelan

Share

Ex-governor, Sarah Palin put her nose into Maryland’s politics with an endorsement for Robert Ehrlich’s primary opponent, Brian Murphy, who is challenging Ehrlich in the primaries.  Ehrlich insists her influence is nil here, though some pundits believe it could signal to wavering Democrats that Ehrlich is the moderate Republican he says he is.  Ehrlich agrees that could be the takeaway message. Murphy, who says that Palin is often in DC, say she might come to stump for him.

It is a badge of honor for Ehrlich…….

Wonder if ex-gov Palin spent as much time “vetting” Brian Murphy as John McCain spent “vetting” her!
Ex-gov Bob Ehrlich may be “moderate” compared with his teabagging primary opponent, but he’s still far to the right of most everyone else.

Helps me make my decision – better to vote for a conservative than having to choose between two democrats. BTW, nice slimy “teabagging primary opponent” comment.

Well this certainly speaks volumes about Palin’s lack of political intelligence. She sticks her nose into a solid blue state to endorse a guy who really doesn’t stand a chance to beat Ehrlich. Ehrlich however is going to give Martin O’Malley a real run and just may win. Palin will have burned any bridge to a Republican governor in MD.
