The Eastern Shore Political Action Committee (PAC) for Social and Economic Justice, will hold a family-friendly launch party on Saturday, March 11, from 5-7 pm at the Eastern Shore Conservation Center located at 114 South Washington Street in Easton. Jennifer Bevan-Dangle, Executive Director of Common Cause Maryland, will give a brief talk answering questions such as “What is a PAC?” and “How do electoral politics work?” over appetizers and drinks, and all are invited to discuss the PAC’s values and next steps.
The newly formed Eastern Shore PAC exists to recruit, support and elect candidates for public office who will fight for healthy and prosperous communities and ensure fair and equitable treatment for all. The 2018 elections will be here soon, so now is the time to organize and get ready to elect some amazing people! BYOB and snacks to share are appreciated. Children’s activities will be provided.
Please RSVP and send any questions to Michele Drostin at [email protected]

Sounds like what All Americans desire. Does this group consider themselves to be left, right, or center? That description fits everyone I know.
Deirdre LaMotte says
I cannot imagine anyone looking at the Republican Party in 2017 and this group in the White House and conclude that they would “ensure fair and equitable treatment for all”.
Women’s bodies are legislated, certain religions and minorities are vilified. And our water and land will be marginalized for Corporate growth. Remember, actions speak a hell of a lot louder than words. No, this PAC obviously is one that seeks cohesion; a much needed idea these days.
Jeffrey D. Carroll says
The answer to that question should be obvious Mrs. Goss

True! I will mark my calendar, then.

I plan to attend the March 11 launch party, but want some clarification on recruitment of candidates. Will this PAC fund and support candidates for local office here in Talbot County or is it state and federal candidates? Or, is it all encompassing? I am a member of Talbot Rising and want to be able to see if it dovetails with TR mission.
