Kinera Foundation Eastern Shore Regional Hub will host its annual Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 30 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.in the parking lot at 115 Sallitt Drive, Stevensville, located at the Chesapeake Bay Business Park. This event is free and open to the public.
Kinera’s Trunk or Treat will kickoff at 2 p.m. with a sensory-friendly “trick or treating” experience tailored for families with children with special needs. Local vendors and businesses will have tables and trunks decorated in Halloween style, and participants will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite display. Trick or treaters are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and will be able to participate in the crafts and games station, as well as trick or treating at the vendors’ tables for treats and giveaways. The sensory-friendly portion of the event will last through 4 p.m.
Beginning at 4 p.m., the Trunk or Treat will open to the public to offer a great prelude to the Halloween evening or an alternative to door-to-door trick or treating. Food and drinks will be available for sale and all proceeds benefit the Kinera Foundation. In addition to the Kinera Foundation sponsoring the event, other local sponsors include the Chesapeake Moms Club and Heather Carroll of LuLaRoe; partners include Children at Play, Colleen Alton of LuLaRoe, Halcyon Wellness Center, Kelly Martin of Arbonne, The Miller Girls’ Curbside Café, Office of Oral Health, and The Parents Place of Maryland.
