The remainder of the Novice Squad made their debut in the Mixed Novice 8+ category and placed third behind D.C. Strokes and Capital Rowing Club.
“I’ve been very pleased with the training the team has put in so far this season and today was confirmation that we are on the right track,” said Head Coach Nicole Stimpson. “We’ve got two weeks before our next regatta which will give us some time to continue to get faster.”
Gunston Crew will race next at the Occoquan Challenge in Fairfax, VA on Sunday, October 9.
