Kent County Public Library invites you to take part in One Maryland One Book, a program of Maryland Humanities designed to bring together diverse people in communities across the state through the shared experience of reading the same book.
The 2016 One Maryland One Book selection, All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely, is a timely and powerful story of two teenagers–one black, one white–brought together by injustice. Pick up a copy at any Kent County Public Library location, then join us for book discussions, community conversations, and films that tie-in to the book and its themes.
Clarify Your Understanding with Community Conversations
Join Joyell Johnson, J.D., for thoughtfully facilitated conversations that will leave you better equipped to unpack the core themes in All American Boys and with a deeper understanding of the ways race impacts us all.
Whether you’ve read the book or not, you are welcome to participate in these community conversations.
