Chris Owen & The Knockdown write and perform original music with infectious rhythms, warm vocal harmonies and hard-charging percussion. In addition to their originals they also present a carefully curated selection of covers from a variety of musical genres.
Chris Owen (lead vocals, guitar) and Mat Warrington (bass) are Kent County, MD natives and founding members of the local band The Turnpikes, which produced an album in 2006 and performed across the Delmarva Peninsula and up and down the east coast.
Tim Kerr (drums, vocals) joined Chris and Mat after playing with Hot Rock and the Heat Strokes during his time at Washington College, and with Kentavius Jones post-grad.
Tom Fogarty (guitar, vocals) rounds out the rhythms and harmonies, and has performed solo at venues in Chestertown and the Baltimore area, including Howard’s Tavern and Ottobar.
The Mainstay (Home of Musical Magic) is the friendly informal storefront performing arts center on Rock Hall’s old time Main Street.
