On Sunday, July 17, at 10 a.m., Ms. Pat Bjorke will lead a discussion entitled “Wanderers and Worshipers: Our Spiritual Practices” at the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, 914 Gateway Dr., Chestertown.
Practice is the heart and soul of the world’s religions, and it is also a distinguishing characteristic of today’s spirituality movements. Spiritual practices connect us with the Divine, our true selves, our neighbors, and the world. What spiritual practices do you embrace? Have they changed over time? Do you want to begin a spiritual practice but don’t know where to start? Whether it is meditation, prayer, chanting, yoga, dance, art, singing, drumming, fasting, being in nature, creating a personal altar or shrine, or celebrating rituals, all of us probably engage in some form of spiritual practice either by ourselves or with others. As Unitarian Universalists, we probably enjoy a rich variety of spiritual practices. Let’s share what gives us grounding and centeredness in life!
Join the discussion! All are welcome. Please call 410-778-3440 for more information.
